Housing, A different kind of concern

As an Officer in my Free Company, I took it upon myself to be at the forefront of collecting donations for our free company housing. As such I've been receiving a far amount of gil via the mog mail.

I'm somewhat concerned that SE may flag either myself, or my FC as RMT. I'm curious if SE has taken anysteps to take this into consideration before they start banning me, or other players who are heading up there own FC housing funds.

Judging by the past people who Claim they had nothing to do with RMT, yet were banned without warning or having the chance to even defend themselves until after the fact. If those stories are true, we, as the collecters of funds could find ourselves in alot of trouble.

The Following is taken directly from the 2.1 patch notes:

"* Purchasing land or housing using gil obtained from RMT (real money trading) or other illicit means is strictily prohibited. Any land or estate hall deemed to have been purchased through such means is subject to seizure."

So you know they'll be watching.

With such high prices I bet at least one naive soul will donate millions to help their FC buy a nice house, get flagged, and have half the FC banned for RMT.

I'd say only contribute a little towards housing but on the high end servers, surely any FC able to afford that will have to move a lot of gil between players and get flagged by some kind of system.

Unless you have FC members buying RMT gold, or have multiple instances of FC members being unlucky enough to interact with RMT sellers often enough to raise a flag en route to making a deposit to your coffer, I think you're going to be safe.

Its all a massive mess.

Donate to FC fund, possibly get flagged.
One punk in your FC buys gil and donates that, loose everything!

So what happens when 30 FC members donate different amounts of gil (by millions), you buy a plot and a few of them of them had bought his gil through RMT? The plot gets confiscated? What about the other members gil? How could they possibly know? Questions, questions.

I would not like to be the leader in one of those zerg FCs with hundreds of members where the chances are someone in that FC buys gold and you are almost certain to have some of your housing money to be dirty. What are you meant to do?

Fixed that for you. If you have a dedicated guild of Dungeon Runners, I'm pretty sure you can rack up the gil for a house that's dropped 120 times by almost a quarter. I know I'm hoping I'm correct in the reading of the patch notes and taking that 'items have changed' to mean bronze in AK/WP becoming Silver/Gold. Maybe we'll see a return of the 10k Gil Allagan Platinum Piece in Pharos Sirius / Crystal Tower. Maybe add a 'Junk Chest' that drops from the golems in Turn 3 that has these pieces.

"Deposit Only and Deposit Money Only have been added to Chest Access under Authorization."

You will be able set it so your members can put money directly in the FC Chest without the need for mail service.

Actually I know quite a lot of players who could buy a top priced plot of land between about 10 of them from entirely legitimate gil even at the 312,500,00 it will be on my server. I'm not one of them though lol.

Are they going to though? The high rollers I know are just taking their ball and hanging onto it for personal housing. That is a lot of real-world money worth of gil to just give to a FC, when your personal labor was behind most of that money making.
