Suggestion: Odin's Mantle

While Patch 2.1 will help to alleviate the issue of not being able to find/target Odin, it doesn't solve the issue of contribution and rewards.

Where in any other FATE a single group could complete it without help of others (or at least be the major contributor), Odin requires the aid of every one who participates, not just one or two groups. Without everyone contributing, no one will succeed.

However, in the current system if you succeed as a server to down Odin, those who achieved Bronze get nothing. As mentioned above, eliminating the people who get Bronze from other FATEs would still result in a success, whereas if all those people who got bronze during Odin were never present, defeating Odin would not be possible.

My suggestion is to adjust how Odin's Mantles are awards such that Bronze receives one Mantle for a successful completion of the FATE and Silver/Gold receive more (perhaps 2 for Silver, 3 for Gold, or even 3 for Silver, 5 for Gold). This would reward everyone for their contribution, given that everyone's contribution was necessary for success.

I approve of this. Last night we had a level 55 Odin and he dropped in less than 5 minutes giving most a Bronze and very rarely anyone got a silver. No one got Gold.

I support that.

Gold already gives 5.

Definitely needs improving. Fought Odin for the first time yesterday - lvl 57! It involved lots of death, and worse, being a tank class really sucked as trying to get any better than silver is optimistic, in fact any melee for this fight seems like you will be eating dirt at some point

Fully agree with this. Ever since the Odin was fixed, it's gotten much more difficult to even get a silver reward, simply because he dies much faster.

So either:
The fate reward system should be changed, as in the participation thresholds of getting a Bronze/Silver/Gold reward. (unlikely to happen)
The rewards should be changed from Silver/Gold rewarding 1/5 Mantles, to Bronze/Silver/Gold rewarding 1/2/5 Mantles.
-Or-
Fates like Odin should be buffed, so he stays alive long enough for the majority of the participating level 50s to hit the silver reward threshold.

If he stays alive longer even more people will congest the area. The bronze and silver rewards do need to be modified....dealing with the lag alone should warrant 1 mantle rofl.

I fought odin a few days ago with some friends but not a full 8 man party and we got bronze so I really hope they change it so bronze gets at least 1 and silver gets more and so forth.
