Looking for an answer on LB

hello everyone
Since i start play FFXIV

People first told me LB Depends on Your gears when you do LB while other said the opposite .

So can someone told me which one is right answer, LB is depends on your gear or not

also is there link from producer on this matter

I dont have an actual source, but from what I'm aware of it's base on the average of your party's weapon ilevel.

Testing from a while back confirms this, yep.

So you actually want your lowest dps to limit break.
