Interested in housing. Will not pay this.

It is said that FC housing is being used as a way to gauge interest in housing as a whole, so as to pace and decide upon the release of personal housing.

Allow me to publicly, for your research, disclaim that I am very interested in personal housing, and so I will not be parting with my legitimately purchased-time-earned coin to contribute to any FC's home while personal housing is still an unknown. I also refuse to deal with RMT sites, you'll be happy to know.

Let me also say that I will not remain subscribed to a game that treats base access to creative expression features like some form of long term goal. Expression is the vehicle, not the goal. I remain interested in FFXIV under the assumption that personal housing will be in an entirely different and personally reasonable price range, to own on day one of its availability as a player, FC affiliated or not, freshly level 50, or earlier.

Let the 1% have their 130 mill lots. I'm fine with that but put starting lots in the 1 mill range and stop using use like dirty dish rags.

And if personal housing is 6 months to a year out?

Or what if personal housing becomes a room attached to FC housing?

Then I am certainly out, speaking only for me, that is. Not really a threat, the game will thrive with or without me, but it will at that point draw a line that I will not cross.

Lets put it this way, the more we don't buy the plot of land, the more SE will see there mistake and adjust it appropriately. ( We can at least still see the sights in the 3 housing areas!)

The irony of personal housing being a room in your FC house is that a good amount of players won't have FC housing to have a room IN.

Sure, we can wait, but purchases need to happen for price degradation to occur, and who's buying?

I'm totally on side with the theory that this is a clever ploy to flush out RMT'ers. You can't tell me that every FC buying an upper class large home won't be investigated to the nines if it happens "too soon," with "you have too much money" being a major tool in the anti-RMT investigations in the past!

After the FC housing prices, I don't see 100 million for a personal house as unrealistic for SE. It's unrealistic for us, but for SE it falls in the realm of something they would do. (Think back to how stupid the requirements for relics are in ffxi, so I would not be surprised at this point if personal housing in ARR is close to the same price as FC housing.) Mark my words, personal housing will be extremely over-priced and out of the reach of the average customer.

that they set this insane price cause maybe there isnt enough server to support so many houses
