Patch notes: "Thunder Can now only be used by thaumaturge and black mage."
Thunder is at least 10% - 15% of SMN total DPS (including pet). This is a pretty big nerf for SMN... especially considering melee DPS classes are getting buffed.
Well, time to go BLM.. except for all this myth I spent.
Oh, and Allagan Boots nerf:
Before: INT+18, VIT+18, Critical Hit Rate+21, Accuracy+15
After: INT+18, VIT+18, Spell Speed+21, Determination+11
You also gain Blizzard II at 50 potency
That's a huge buff to your AOE damage.
Blizzard II potency is now 50. Single target DPS is significantly worse without Thunder.
Meh Bliz II nerf..used to be part of my aoe rotation..sigh both BLM and SMN got nerfed I guess.
Way to make SMN even more undesirable to play SE, woo.
SMN got destroyed
Nerfed in every way except for the extremely minor Bane buff. They said they were going to nerf Bard... they barely if even got touched. This is THE biggest nerf of the entire patch.
They did not fix ANY of the issues Summoners have. Ifrit Egi is still garbage, SMN/Bane AoE is still TERRIBLE compared to BLM, BLM still has sleep while SMN has Tri-disaster (which doesn't even last as long), Enkindle is still a sucky version of Flare on a 5minute cooldown...
I don't even know what to say. We don't even have Virus rotations anymore. SMN is just a sucky version of BLM; we bring very little to the table.
I don't want to play anymore...
This is unacceptable. They did -nothing- to offset removing thunder.
I don't even understand why they would remove Thunder. Having it didn't off-balance us at all. :(

You can really tell this team has never messed with an mmo before. Outright removing a spell that is such a solid part of a Summoner's damage with no offset? Do they test these things? SE isn't some new fledgling company, they should know better than this, but you can see how green they are in this game. I honestly wonder just how many mmo vets they have working over there. Even FFXI didn't do things this ridiculously hasty.
