Who We Are
Vigilant Addiction is a multi-game community made up of long time gamers and have had a stable core of members since 1999. We formed up in Dark Age of Camelot and have been gaining more and more members into our core community ever since. Outside of FFXIV we are an up and coming indie game studio with a single release on Apple/Android App Stores with a future release coming soon. We also host a variety of game servers including Minecraft, Battlefield4 and DayZ/FactionZ. We have interests in future MMOs as well and a decent sized group of MOBA(LoL/DOTA2) players.

Who We Want
We aren't interested in recruiting everyone we see or spamming chat in game; We are looking for quality people who want to be around other like-minded people to kill internet dragons. People who want to know their class and will work to get there. We are also interested in people who are looking for a place to call home and have an awesome group of people around them daily. We have a Zero Tolerance policy on drama and overall douche-baggery. We don't like trolls. If you like our in-game community maybe you will be further interested in our larger community outside of just FFXIV. Despite the job wishlist below we still accept quality players regardless of role as we are a friendly community of friends first.

Our Event/Raid Schedule
At the time of this post, pre-2.1 and Crystal Tower; We currently run 2 semi-full non-static Coil groups and are looking to eventually recruit enough people to make our current 2 groups a static and have a 3rd group as well. We have more than 16 active raiders but we have been having attendance issues in the past weeks. We also provide what we call 'relic catchups' on a weekly basis so we can get new FC members or Alt classes through Titan to obtain relics.

Current Coil Progression: Turn 5 - Snakes

Coil Schedule:
Tuesday 8CST - Coil Group#1 Turns 1-4
Friday 8CST - Coil Group#2 Turns 1-4
Saturday 8CST - Static Coil Progression Group Turn-5
Each raid night lasts around 3 hours(if needed).

Other Events:
Thursday 8CST - Relic Catchups, Chimera-Titan(if needed) // 2.1 Trial Progression(following Titan kill or starting at 8CST if relic is not needed)

We use Mumble as a VOIP service. Mumble is mandatory for all raiders including console players.

Loot Policy
We run a fair Need/Greed system. Typically people will ask another if they need/want the piece. Need for current main class, greed for alt class that can use item. If we have someone who was needed in an alt class capacity and their main loot drops then a verbal discussion will happen which will typically result in a main-class GREED and alt-class pass for that specific item.

Requirements
We prefer to have people who are already fully darklight geared and have their relic, however we are willing to invest time in good players who are looking for a real place to call home. Please note that if you do not meet the minimum gear requirements you will not go into coil.

I was lucky enough to come across VA a couple days after the launch of ARR. I've been playing MMOs for well over a decade now, and have come to dread the initial social wasteland you can run into when jumping into a new one... No feeling of isolation quite like that of playing a game populated by thousands of people all by yourself!

This community has totally caught me off guard. They're friendly, incredibly helpful, and have a great sense of humor. The coordination and effort they put, not only into ARR, but into their multi-gaming community as a whole is mind-blowing. Everyone works to help eachother improve and progress, and people are always willing to try to help you get the most out of your time spent in the game, however it is you find enjoyment.

Joining VA has given me a newfound excitement with regards to the future of both ARR and gaming in general. I look forward to growing with them and doing everything I can to contribute to the incredible community I have found here, and I have great comfort when thinking about the prospect of other titles that may come out in the future.. I'll never have to endure that wasteland again, no.. The next time I set foot in a new game, I'll be doing it with people whose company I have truly come to treasure.

We have also stood up a FC program to provide consumables to our raid members. We have in-house gathering and crafting to ensure our members can be provided with food and potions free of charge as long as we have contributions from our fine members who gather! :)
