How Viable is DD WAR?

Now first and foremost I am painfully aware that Warrior is indeed a tank job there is no question about it however I ended up DDing as one for Chimera and Titan and I gotta say if you turn off Defiance you can actually beat the crap out of stuff like hot damn.

So my question is assuming you put your stats into STR and wore STR accessories could you use WAR for endgame things such as Coil?


Side note: Please SE add a 2handed DPS job that uses a greatsword/axe/katana, as WAR when you swing that axe around you feel like you are swinging it hard where as DRG I feel like I am prissy poking something (no offence DRGs).

MRD with Invigorate, Blood for blood, Raging Strikes, Quelling Strikes, Hawk's Eye, Straight Shot, Internal Release, Mantra, Second Wind, and Provoke (ya know cause why not)

With a relic axe especially, it does okay as long as you keep Defiance off. Probably will be better next week.

But I wouldn't take it into Coil as a DD. That's a waste of HP!

It's best as a maurader because mrd can Cross Into dragoon for invigorate etc. But you can't wear your relic as a MRD. If you have the axe off twintania it's extremely viable. Duty finder will always que you as a tank though.

anything before coil its actually pretty decent. My fc was carrying one of our members in titan and he was a dd. He falls off cliff so now there is three dps and me the ot. So I go full dps mode, entering defiance only for infuriate and unchained. We win with ease.

Ya know that is not a bad idea at all, sucks that I wont be able to use Bravura though.

...but I like prissy poking mobs for 1300 damage :/

It generates too much enmity honestly - even out of Defiance.

Wars can be decent dd's.My fc did a titan run with 4 wars((good gears ofcourse)) and they got it on the first try

And a full set of Allaghan since you can't wear AF2. MRD has higher burst than DRG due to Berserk stacking with Blood for Blood and Raging Strike, oh my.
