Lockouts and Armory System

* I've been lurking on the forums for quite some time and have occasionally posted here and there. I would like to present my thoughts and some possible solutions to the current problems a lot of people are facing right now. * I. Lockouts and Armory System * This probably has the most hate and the most discussed topic as of now. The problem: People log in on Monday, max their tomes and clear Coil, which usually takes about a couple to a few hours. Then they complain about the lack of content because they've done everything in one day. I share more or less the same sentiment and wish that I could gear up my alt class as fast as my main class and prance around Revenant's toll with my Allagan gear and whatnot. But come 2.1, the quest to dress up my alts with i90s gets alleviated and bridged by NEW content that's coming up. So while waiting for my alts i90s, I simply do Crystal Tower and get my i80 gear. * Now Crystal Tower presents another lock out problem. We only get one piece of loot per week, which means we would, at most, need 10 weeks to get full i80 gear on an alt. Now that is a long time to be grinding for gear that's essentially weaker than what's already available. * My suggestion: Remove the loot lockout per character and instead, do it per class. Now why is this a great idea? Because it would reward someone who has all classes to 50, accordingly. Basically this is how it would go: You run CT on a 50 class, of course, and then get loot. Instead of you getting locked out of loot for the week, you can run it again with a DIFFERENT 50 class, of course, and be able to join in again on looting. Now before you go apeshit on me, saying "What about people who only have one class to 50?!" Well it sucks for you then. The armory system is there for a reason and it's to promote leveling your alt classes on ONE character. It's just fair to reward the person who put more time and effort into this game more. So for short, you can get a maximum of 9 pieces of loot from CT per week. This does not necessarily mean that you'd have all your classes decked out in i80 in like 9 weeks or so because there's still RNG to beat in which most cases, is harder to beat than Twintania. *


tl;dr *
1. Remove loot lockout per week in Crystal Tower (duh its i80, you can feasibly obtain 8 pieces of i90 gear from Coil in one week, although very minimal XD)
2. Implement LOOT LOCKOUT PER CLASS PER WEEK (you can loot as long as the class you're raiding on hasn't gotten loot yet for the week)
3. You can have as much i80 gear as you want as long as it's 9 or less XDDD
4. The more classes you have maxed, the more opportunities you have to get gear from Crystal tower

Just to separate myself from the 93839383 threads about lockouts, I actually provide a possible solution and constructive criticism rather than the normal "I finish all end game on monday qq"

too many threads about lockout that IM VERY GLAD S.E did lock out!

If you'd take time to read through it, you'd know that this is different from the normal lockout qq
this isnt even a whine about lockout thread. Its suggestion and constructive feedback with regards to lockouts and the effect it has with the armory system.

Funny how this keeps coming up(it's not, really) yet when it came up on the 1.0 surveys the majority voted for lockouts rather then the abysmal drop rates from 1.0 darklight or ffxi's loot system in general.

uhmm actually we vote for token like system, we got it lol.

but hell i like the lock outs. :P

Seeing as it's already possible to work on getting iLvl 90 gear without iLvl 80 in the mix at all, why is it necessary to wait to have a full set of iLvl 80 before moving on instead of potentially working towards gear from iLvl 70 (CT's iLvl requirement is lower than 70), iLvl 80, and iLvl 90 simultaneously?
