[dev1065] While your reforming the UI please add this feature!!

----Item 1-----Character name plate---------

I don't know if it Annoys anyone else but I really would like to toggle on/off my characters name above my character. I mean I know who I am I know what my characters name is, why would I need to see it? I mean it would be more sensible to place my characters name next to my hp/mp/tp Bar. So while your revising the UI PLEASE add this feature.

Seeing my name above my head in full blocks my view at times in which case I pan my camera further away from my characters back to it's not directly in the center of my frontal view. Really it's kind of unnecessary for me to see my name.

you can place all the icons such as LS, repair, bazaar, leve icon and such in one of 2 areas in the UI

where the time, date and internet connection are
or
where the inventory, item use, emote command icons are
-------------------Summary----------------------

Toggle Personal Character Name above head on/off (or) adjust transparency

Place Icons associated with the name plate else where in the active UI

----Item 2------The Map and Mini-map----------

I would like to choose wether my map shows up on full screen on windowed in my opinion making the map windowed would cut more lag in the UI when accessing it and having it windowed will allow for a more sleeker look then just blowing up the map right over everything else I've noticed the lag when running, fighting, being in a crowded place. I play on a fairly large screen so I don't need my map to take up the whole screen perhaps maybe even allowing me to scale it in windowed mode as well.

the mini-map for this I would like 3 things,

number 1: please allow the option for a border ring around the mini-map it just looks unfinished the way it looks right now.

number 2: allow me to toggle the ghosting/about to arrive at icons outside the mini-map the only way to describe this is when getting close to say a camp or any location for that matter it appears transparent when your close and outside the mini-map and slowly becomes none transparent as you get closer. I wanna turn that off when I have the mini-map border on.

Number 3: Allow me to scale the mini-map down further, at current it's still way to big for my tastes.

Toggle off Ghosted Locations close by outside the mini-map

Allow for a wider scaling of the Mini-map

They've already noted the request for varying combinations of nameplate toggling, as they asked for some specifics on what players would like to see in that regard.

Ah gotcha, well I'm sure my post wouldn't hurt ^_^ there have just been so many times I wish I could swat my nameplate off because it was in the way. All I need is the enemy, NP and OTHER PC nameplates on not mine :) thanks for the reply, what did you think of my map idea?

I very much agree and support your first suggestion, especially that FFXIV uses surnames, which makes my name huge.

I do appreciate some work on the map, though i am not sure that the current state of it annoys me, not yet. Personally, I have always wanted to be able to make my own marks on the full map (say NM spots, grinding spots...etc) for me, personalizing my maps is very helpful for such a game.
