Twintania conflag intervals?

I was trying to search for other threads on this, but so many threads come up it's hard to find any info, but I took a look at 5 different Twintania kills seeing if there was a pattern between the conflag intervals, and wanted to see if others had similar results.

Of the 5 videos I watched it looks pretty consistent with one fluctuation. (Edit: I've now gone through 8 videos with pretty consistent conflag timings.)

Chains drop
25 seconds later first blue dot appears
40 seconds later second blue dot appears
32 or 35 seconds later third blue dot appears (4 at 32, 4 at 35)
40 seconds later fourth blue dot appears

Obviously it's only a sampling, but I wanted to see of others had any experiences outside of this, or is this something that is pretty reliable at those intervals?

Based on my observation so far, it seems like you could create a macro somewhat like this and kick it off when the first neuro link drops:

/p 3 seconds to conflag dot #1 <se.12>
/wait 40
/p 3 seconds to conflag dot #2 <se.12>
/wait 32
/p 3-6 seconds to conflag dot #3 <se.12>
/wait 40
/p 3-6 seconds to conflag dot #4 <se.12>

Honestly, Conflagration need to be delt with as they come. Knowing the general timing is good but don't bother tracking it like how you would do with death sentence. Reason is conflagration can be delt with even with human errors, other mechanics like death sentence can't afford much human erorrs as ded main tank is ded.

Your group will get used to it and be quite responsive to it with enough practice, that is my opinion anyway.

I understand your point, but right now my goal in this thread is to gather and take advantage of any/all information on the mechanics of a fight and use that to my advantage. If I can kick off a macro with pretty accurate timings on conflags with a 2-5 second heads up, then why wouldn't I? The other options is scolding my BC group and telling them to L2P! :P

Don't get me wrong, I see your point, and I can see how not relying on certain timers helps tune your skill level, but right now we're still learning the fight and it feels like learning to ride a bike by riding down a steep hill without any training wheels :)

Anyhow, right now I'm just trying to confirm or refute an observation and go from there.

There's an easier way to deal with conflags - for conflags 1 and 3 player targeted with fireball runs into conflag, for conflags 2 and 4 dps jobs pop cooldowns as soon as conflag marker appears.

I think we're discussing 2 different things. This post really isn't to address how to deal with conflags, it's more to address getting people used to the timing of when the blue dot appears.

The rotation is as follow: Fireball > Conflag > Fireball > Fireball > Conflag > Fireball > Conflag > Fireball > Fireball > Conflag > Fireball > 2nd necklace should drop here, if not > Conflag > Fireball > Fireball > run to the wall and die if you can't drop 2nd necklace here.
If you can remember Titan's rotation, there is no way you cannot remember the above rotation.

Sorry, I probably didn't phrase it well - my point is that timing doesn't make your life much easier (if at all), all your dps jobs really need is to keep track of whether current conflag is odd or even:

1. if you have a blue marker (conflag) over your head you run to the designated spot (usually under twintania) for all conflags
2. if you don't have a blue marker over your head and it's an odd conflag (#1 or #3), you simply tab target to conflag as soon as it appears and dps it
3. if you don't have a blue marker over your head and it's an even conflag (#2 or #4), you pop 2-3 cooldowns as soon as blue marker appears, then tab target to conflag and dps it

I know this is about Conflag intervals, but does anyone know the Death Sentence intervals? It seems like Twintania snap shots her status at the time of her cast, so knowing the window or pattern is really important since Virus has to be up beforehand. My group occasionally misses the window, sadly.

You are correct. She establishes her attack sequence rhythm for the rest of the fight once she breaks off the first piece of her collar. IIRC, what we did when we were using the "run into conflags to avoid Death Sentence" strategy was bring her down to 87% or so and then wait until she begins casting Death Sentence. AS SOON as she begins it, push her into the next phase, and Death Sentence will line up nicely with conflags.

We haven't used that for awhile though, so I may not remember it exactly, if anybody would like to correct me on that.

I think the class that this is hardest for in our runs are our healers, and understandably so. Without a doubt they have the most to react to in this phase. I'm just trying to help them out as much as possible, and if I can give them even a small window of a heads up that they should start paying attention to an upcoming conflag, it might be a minor thing, but right now where we are, every little bit counts.
