Random Textures Popping Up On Screen

Hello, I have just recently started to play this game, and I have noticed that occasionally different colored textures (Not entirely sure what you could call them) have been popping up on my screen and it is proving to be very distracting to the point of annoyance. I cannot provide a screenshot as they appear much too quick for me to do so.

Any idea as to what could be causing this?
