A Relic Reborn question
So I\\'ve gotten to the point that I need a Wildings cesti and two savage aim materia on my Monk. I looked for them on the market board and they are spectacularly expensive (120,000 for cesti, 20,000 for materia). Would it be worth it to level up a leather worker to make the cesti? I probably wouldn\\'t mind buying the material unless there is an easier way to get it.

Maybe you should see if the individual parts are cheap enough to solicit a crafter to make it for you.
-
Wow... those Cesti are usually less than 12k on Cactuar. Like Orophin said, see if you can get the invidiual items for cheaper and have someone make the item.

You can get the "rare" material needed for the cesti from a chest in wanderer's palace. You will want to run that anyway for stones so it is win/win.
Spiritbonding you can do on your own but may take some time. Try to get HQ accessories to SB and throw any piece of junk materia on them to speed up the process and to not terribly impact the speed of kills in dungeons. You should either get your materia or you will be able to sell what you do get in order to buy what you need.

Farm for the Cesti in Wanderer's Palace. Prices for these items vary greatly from server to server. For the materia, buying them will probably save you a lot of time because spiritbonding is never guaranteed t yirld what you want/need. If the price you mentioned (20K) is for both materia, then grab them. If that's for each, check the sales history to see if that's an inflated price for your server or the regular one. They used to sell for a lot less when I played on Exodus. Sometimes prices shoot up after a rich individual buys up all the cheap ones, but after a few days things should be back to normal.
For the actual forging and melding, i'd recommend getting to know some people who can do it for free. FC mates, usually. For example, my FC is tiny but we all have one or more crafting classes at 50 so all crafts and melds are basically free (just gotta gather/purchase the mats).
