Make 1-30 longer(more sp) leave 30-40 alone make 40-50 shorter(less sp)

1-30 is a joke. 40-50 is a borefest snoozer. 30-40 is just right. Adjustments need to be made. :cool:

Great idea. I think if 1-20 was longer people would feel more integrated into the game and the main cities wouldn't feel as dead.

They don't need to make 40-50 shorter. All what we need are rank 50 camps. It's like making leves and behest in camp horizon instead in nanawa mine with rank 26.

I kind of think we just need more interesting content instead of adjusting EXP curves. For now, I think a lot of people get somewhere around 25-35, run into an EXP brick wall, and then lose interest completely. I know I kind of did that. =(

If getting EXP was more interesting, then I would be alright with slower levels.

Yeah, that exp brick wall sucks, it's like pulling teeth to get my girl to log in and level with me. She plays for the story, but it's nearly impossible remain interested enough to get to the next chapter when it's 16-32 of the same leves every day (depending on reset).

At least the way it is now, we can duo leves for decent exp. She will outright quit if we go back to a FFXI style seek-for-hours exp party system.

20-30 is pretty good i think in length. 30-40, not so bad either. But 1-20 DOES need more length, especially 1-10. Its really ridiculous how fast you go through those levels now and the gear for those levels is completely unnecessary now because you rank so fast. I'm approaching 40 now and it feels like a mountain already in front of me. Lots of people I know say it's simply "painful".

My interpretation that is not so much the SP to get to 50, but probably more the way we're still getting SP to get to 50. Grinding the same things, force abandoning leves to ensure a retry next reset, ect. It's not fun. If the content can't be made more fun, then it should be shortened perhaps so we can move on to ranking up something else sooner.

1-20 being short is a good and bad thing: On one hand, those levels are absolutely useless when it comes to actually *doing* things in the game, there is quite literally no low level content that isn't also covered at higher levels (leves, behest).
On the other hand, 1-20 is where most of your job/party role is learned.

I can go for 1-20 being lengthened IF they add stuff to do at those levels. Else 1-20 will continue to exist solely to grind through.

the problem isnt the SP REQUIRED , because that can be adjusted in a blink.

the problem is HOW MUCH FUN U HAVE WHILE DOING IT


leveling in this game is not fun .......and thats its why u feel like a huge grind , painfull , climbing a mounting with the hands tied ....

i leveled to 75 in FFXI (pre toau) and killing dhamels in bibiky bay for hours was somewhat fun .......yeah sometimes was oh dish 40k tnl.........

in FFXIV , omg thats like 100 leves + some hard grinding in btw , solo in the most cases.


keep the SP , and make leveling more fun

It is fine imo. If you want slower leveling just do not do guild leves. If you want faster leveling do guild leve parties (w/o the linking and quiting) You guys skrewed yourselves with "unwriten rules".

I've been grinding my gathering classes by just "farming" And i do not level fast. I just did levels to get me to 10 so I had the skills. I've mostly been farming grade 1.
Lots of complaints on stuff you guys can "fix" yourselves by chamging how /where to level.

When FF14 was first released 1-20 was so much longer then it is now but then again we don't use the proc system anymore
also 1-20 isn't made to be stuck in i wouldn't complain about it though since i like there most updated SP system it made me actually play now :D ive been grinding raptors most the week 40-47 grinding through surplus in 4days
