LNC tank job?

If you watch the 2.1 video, at 5:21, when they're doing the preview for Pharos Sirius, the group they're using consists of a WHM, a BLM, a gun using class (MSK/COR likely), and a spear using class that seems to be wearing heavy armor tanking (looks kind of like Darklight but definitely not the DRG armor) and tanking (he never attacks from side/behind and is actually tanking the boss at 5:30).

Think this is confirmation that there's a LNC tank job in the works for 2.2?

Nah the Party consisted of a PLD, DRG, WHM and BLM. There is actually a lalafell PLD tanking (he's really small so hard to see), the Gun user is actually one of the enemies they were fighting.

Though - this does mean they have animations built for a gun user - so perhaps they have something under wraps and we will be seeing the mythical MSK/COR in FFXIV finally.

Most of those fights, it still looks like the LNC is attacking from the front and actually has consistent aggro on the boss, however. Seemed kind of weird to me.

The DRG is attacking from the front, it looks like the paladin was having aggro issues -__-

It's DRG in AF or Myth gear. There is no tank. edit: Nope; I'm just blind.

DRG/PLD*/BLM/WHM are shown in the Pharos Sirius section of the video.

edit: Lalafell PLD problems; also herpderp mistaking Shield Lob for kick-attacks.

Conclusion: The DRG is a bad

Eh no... the DRG is just putting out the most damage; there is no tank shown in the preview of Pharos Sirius dungeon.

oh man i didnt notice the corsair mob!! cool! he has a gun and a sword. I'm sure they are working on this class next Yoshi has spoken on this multiple times and has even said that there is already a musketeer guild in limsa.

Unfortunately I will have to agree that the DRG was just DD there is a tiny paladin running around, though a tank class coming from LNC would make the most sense. Not sure what the job would be though... I would want something new and different.
