Christmas events?

Anyone know if there will be Christmas events happening? There was something like that at Halloween.
I'd like to see Santa/elf gear and holiday mount decorations..:)

Starlight will come back around Christmas I'm sure

What we do know from the last live letter is that there'll be Snowman costumes where you can use /visor to close or open a square for the face.

This sounds really lame. Costumes should have some value added. In FFXI i remember the Santa Hat would dispense ginger cookies.

NPC with the Christmas stuff has been in the game since the last hotfix.

Yeah, actually he was there even in the Beta - he's an npc manning a vendor stand at Mih Khetto's Amphitheater in Old Gridania who complains about how it seems 'the Starlight Festival will never come'. So it's likely he's connected with the actual Christmas event. I think we'll be getting the FFXI/Dragon Quest crossover event before then though.

What's this Starlight event some of you have mentioned?
