SE, I would like to suggest we make one centralized market ward that can be accessed at each of the major city.
I am really getting sick on that I need go back to Uldah's ward whenever I need to buy anything.
Just a thought? Any ideas are welcome.

I don't know if the market ward servers would be able to handle it seeing as how they crash every day or two anyways. I'd say just add a damn auction house o_o
Open Ishgard + make it the main city rank 30+ with "expanded" wards (ex. 2 or 3 ward zones per type of ward)
This will centralize the world, and help to reduce ward crashes. It will also allow people to spread out between the three main cities making the game feel less dead.
I say just link the wards together with hallways and tunnels.
If you don't have anything that needs to be repaired, your retainer should get kicked out of the mender's ward. You should get a message when it happens.
The wards don't bother me much...however my husband is a different story. He really isn't a big fan of this game...he plays because I play...and his BIGGEST complaint is the AH. He is constantly complaining about not having one....
Give us a counter top market system, call it what you want but make it work. A centralized wards wont work, the wards in Ul'Dah are packed today with small server population, the consensus is that the wards in other cities will begin to fill up soon as people start spreading out and soon as the game gets more subscribers. If SE is serious about its game succeeding, they are probably anticipating up to 20K players a server worldwide, and the wards wont work without making them even less convenient (i.e., longer wards, more ward zones, etc.) there is absolutely no point in not making the market wards into a counter top system and botch the stupid zones.
Been largely beaten to death, but I'll regurgitate here:
Remove most of the wards. Leave Tinkerer's, Battlecraft, Fieldcraft, Tradecraft, Mender's, and maybe another.
Allow browsing/purchasing directly from select locations in each city. Purchases can be sent either to a retainer or to delivery box.
Fix the searching, allow searching by slot, filter by rank/job/etc. Add a free-text item search. Support individual display of HQ items.
Save pricing history for all transactions and provide a UI way to view this pricing history when browsing or selling items.
Retainers selling items will now no longer need to be placed in a ward to sell items. Extra payment will be required to have them placed in the wards. Further "enhanced payment" required to rent/maintain stalls, and a minimum merchandise count.
Tie "seeking items" into the global /translate search (which presumably is in progress) so that retainers can purchase items without having to hold one in their inventory. When a retainer selling an item is re-added into the sales index, immediately check for outstanding offers and sell the item to the oldest request meeting the minimum requested price.
Retainers now give a linkpearl to all players to notify of transactions. Each retainer can be configured to have specific transaction messages enabled or disabled.
Think that about covers it.
Either remove the stalls or really have them do something that makes paying for a spot worthwhile. Really, they're pretty much copypasta of the market sections in the cities.
The problem with them is;
1. Only 10ish stalls per ward with who knows how many different people placing retainers in them.
2. With how they are, who's going to care that it's in a stall spot?
And then figure out what to do about the Ul'dah population problem and the lack of activity in the other cities and their wards.
All of these threads really need to be in the Market and Retainers forum, instead of General.
For example, there's already a very similar thread for this -here-. :)
