Anyone miss 1.0's graphics?

Sure, the graphics in 2.0 are nice. But the detail from 1.0 is being missed, and I'm sure not by just me.

Note, this isn't even max graphics settings.

And not just graphics quality. Armor fit better and looked more believable.

Graphics mean nothing if the content isn't meaningful. It's all thriller no filler.

1.0 ran like garbage on my machine, the engine was bloated. I was never able to enjoy visuals like that at anything more than about 10fps.

Yes.

But the graphics we have now are still very good for an MMO, and more people can enjoy them. 1.0 requirements were crazy....

agreed. Also it's worth noting aesthetically an art department that works hard with what they got can achieve amazing things. WoW has terrible graphics, and amazing artwork. Everquest 2 when first released had very nice graphics and extremely sterile artwork.

I feel that 2.0 has done a pretty stellar job with their art, and as many 1.0 people are quick to point out, environments suffered from copy/pasta bad.

It is a shame they had to normalize some things though. The mi'qotte are good examples of this. reduced butt, no more tail armor, etc.

Aren't we supposed to be getting better shaders or something when the ps4 version releases? Since you know, we're tied to the limitations of a console and all.

I don't see it. The current graphics look much nicer. Much more vibrant, the style is just crisper... the old style was murky and lifeless, imo.

It may have a little more detail, but it doesn't look better for it.

Oh god no I don't miss them. Not in the slightest. Yes, they were crisper, the models larger and more detailed, but my laptop couldn't run the game decently at anything past Medium settings and it's an Asus G53SX! It was high end at the time! Further, I prefer to play on the PS3, I dare not imagine what it'd be like on there at 1.0's level of detail.

The only thing that wast better in 1.0 was the texture resolution used on certain things, it is pretty noticeable on some armor and such. Outside of that, the graphics are really better in almost every way.
