Must I say more? We need a Range DD Limit Break and we got a nice skill going to a boss that can serve as a Range Limit Break.

Hmm... Nope
This has been discussed before. If ranged DDs got a damage-dealing limit break, there's no longer any point in bringing melee DDs.
I think we have... it's called Meteor.
Well it depends on what type of Limit Break Range is given.
Melee is a single target.
DD Mage is a AoE.
If Range Limit Break is a AoE type then it will perform less damage on a single target compared to melee. There is also the factor of the hit box for Range DD Limit Break. If it is a column hit box like this attack then it will be good for hitting enemies in front of the Range class. Not very ideal for enemies more spread out since DD Mage LB is made for killing enemies in a Circle hit box so it better used for that while a Column hit box is better when the tank manage to get a large amount of enemies around him..
That a DD Magic LB. I'm talking about a DD Range LB.
there will always be 3 catagories of damage:
Melee (Physical/ close range),
Range (Physcial/ long range)
Magic (Magic / Long range)
I think there should be way more DD Limit Breaks (for everyone, not just DD), but based on the weapon you are actually equipped with instead of the nonsense we have right now. Specially considering no one uses the tanking and healing LBs at all.
Heck, just go and take some of the latest WS from XI if you have to and turn them into XIV's LBs. Because watching a DD use the current LB is just sad rather than cool.
If that's the reason then there are very bad design flaws either in combat itself or with melee jobs. <_<;
And if I had to guess it has everything to do with how they tend overuse the AoE mechanic pretty much everywhere in the game to compensate for what seems to be a rushed design of battles.
Well that only for a few fights in this game. Most of the time a group would never reach LB3 in every other content not in endgame since not many areas of content go pass LB2.
LB3 seems only exclusive to Final bosses in dungeons for 8 member dungeons or endgame contents that use 8 member parties.
LB3 is only for the fights that matter, yes.
As for melee not being used if ranged had a single target DD LB, it isn't a design flaw at all. It's a player mindset flaw of always using the easiest strategy and ignoring anything that deviates. Why use a melee, no matter how skilled they are at dodging, when a bard can do as much damage with much less risk? Because melee can do LB3. Seems like a design success if you ask me.
