No characters available for this Square Enix Account?

Hello, all.

Downloaded and installed FF14 not too long ago. Created a character, battled a bit, and completed a couple quests. However, when I try to log in to Lodestone, I get this message:

There are no characters available for this Square Enix Account, or the subscription period has expired.
A FINAL FANTASY XIV service account containing at least one character or an active subscription is required to use The Lodestone.
Is there any way I can remedy this?

UPDATE: Character finally appeared. I guess it takes a couple of hours.
