So the two new mounts....

Where do you think you'll obtain them from? I'm thinking one will be from PvP and the other from the final 2.1 quest. Unless they add a DRG quest for the drake mount....which I somehow doubt =/

Yeah, they aren't actual mounts. If you pay attention, they both have attacks while you're riding them. And, they were both shown during the Beastman Quests, so you'll be using the Goobbue during the Sylph Quests, and the Drake during the Amalja Quests.

Well the Magitek was used for the same thing and we were able to unlock it. Guess you get them via daily quests.

I still think that eventually every job should have a classic mount that can be associated with the job, like unicorn for WHM or a drake for DRG etc.

Yeah I thought they were just mounts to be used in conjunction with the beastman quests. I was happy to see that they are starting to add more interesting mechanics to the quests and not all "kill x number of mobs".

But they have explicitly stated the Goobbue will never be obtainable again if you didn't get it in 1.0. They may bring the drake to us in the same manner as the Magitek Armor though.

Heh, devs from TERA pulled this, as in the collector's edition lion mount which was supposed to exclusive to collector's edition just got a nice bit of "makeup" thrown on and put out for all players to own as a "new" mount(given they paid the price). Wouldn't put it past SE to pull the same stunt.

You won't be able to get the Goobbue if you missed it in 1.0.

Drake is confirmed for the DRG mount (as every job will be getting a mount).
