Hi, does anybody have a good rotation for 40 1star 100% HQ? I've seen a few but requires a Waste Not II, which I don't have. My skills/ability below. Thanks
lvl50 - Gold,BSM,WVR,CPR,CUL,ALC
lvl 15 - LTW
craft - 350
control - 346
cp - 343

2 comfort Zone, one before you hit any other action, one in the second of three waste Not should get it done. It's more steps but I don't know of any rotation that will 100% single star HQ. They all rely on Hast Hand when you are using NQ materials from untouched nodes.
With HQ materials from untouched Nodes, you can do it with Advanced touch. The time spent getting the HQ from untouched nodes will make that seem a bit counter productive though.
Use food to get to 360 cp.
The rotation I use (taken from white fall's thread slightly altered)
Comfort
Inner Quiet
Steady hand 2
Waste not
Hasty touch x4
manipulation
Steady Hand 2
Waste not
Hasty touch x4
Steady hand 1
Great strides
Byregot's
Ingenuity
Careful 2 x2
347 craft 340 control
why not use Ingenuity before Byregot's, NintenPyjak64?
Because I'm on mobile and had to limit myself so I don't hit the character limit. Editing is a pain in the rear. After steady hand, if you have an excellent, you'll use byregot's. If it's not, great strides. If not again, use ingenuity. After that use byre it's then the careful synths. Note: if you use byregot's after steady hand, don't bother using great strides. However ingenuity pretty much MUST be used to ->guarantee<- success
With no Hasty Touch, I think I can get to 85% with 358 Control without Good/Excellent procs. With 351 on another class I got 83%
Still need to remeld my Weaver chest piece (first 50, so it was melded poorly with some grade 2s for 15 craft, 1 control) to get to 362 standing Control (other crafts are at 351 as I haven't finished their max Control offhands yet), though the extra 4 would probably put it at 87% or so with my current rotation... which isn't overly optimized for 1 star mats. Just my old generic 40 star rotation with an Ingenuity II tossed in because I have enough CP for it without needing any food.
What I have (aka, not much effort into optimizing) for any interested:
CZ
IQ
SH II
WN
Basic Touch x3
GS
SH
Ing II
Advanced Touch
GS
Innovation
BB
CS II
Leaves 1 CP remaining if you have 348, as I recall.
With some extra CP (food/Tricks) some of the early Basic Touches can be upgraded, either the final one or if a Good pops up on one of the first two for a few extra %. Having Innovation + Ing makes fishing for Good/Excellent procs on the final Great Strides Touch less feasible than it was while I was leveling and didn't have Innovation/didn't need to use Ing.
Another use for extra CP is potentially putting an Ingenuity in front of the first Great Strides and an Innovation after it before the SH to gain Innovation on the Advanced Touch. Will have to put up Ing II later (to 1 shot the progress bar with CS II + have it for BB). Those two extra abilities cost 42 CP (so need 41 extra if you're at 348 CP), so worth keeping in mind if you get lucky on early tricks procs... I probably wouldn't use HQ Bouillabaisse on 1 star mats currently but cheaper food (to put you in 1 or 2 Tricks range) is worth considering if you really want to play around with it.... at which point you might as well use a rotation better suited for 1 star mats, haha.
Hard to say how much of a boost Control food would give as the extra Control to the entire rotation would likely be more useful than adding Innovation to just the AT (since it already gets Ing and BB is already getting both Ing and Inno). Might play around with that one day if I'm bored enough after I get the chest remelded/I finish another offhand (7% melds are pretty annoying). That and the +5 Control Free Company action, though most people don't have the luxury of having that available whenever they want it.
Probably just simpler to use a HT method, especially with how easy it currently is to HQ from NQ mats (and considering the stats you're going to need to HQ the 40 stars without using Hasty Touch). May blow up in your face from time to time and leave you with a low quality %, but Hasty Touch should hit 100% more often overall.
Edited to clarify some quality % numbers.
Is there any way you can HQ thse without melding all you equip ? I mean hey if I have 350 control and over 340 craft I can actually 100% HQ 2 stars whats the point of that?
ANy rotation for 1 star 40 durability?
