My thoughts on [PACT]

I know PACT already has a recruitment thread going. My goal with this isn't to spam but to share with you all an inside view of the FC from my perspective.

I have already bumped into a lot of you at one point or another in game. I dont often participate as much in open recruitment as my very dear Zander but I wanted to take a moment to share my take on [PACT] and some of the things we have going on including my plans for the FC in the near future - not in an attempt to recruit but rather getting to know each other a bit more.

The question I get asked the most is if the FC really is as friendly as it comes of in the recruitment posts. At the risk of sounding like a loyal exagerist (Is that even a word) - Yes, we are. We have a great group of people that I am incredibly protective of. Its more than just a FC. Its a gaming community.

Our FC caters from the incredibly casual to those that are only focused on end game content. We are built on the principals of cooperation and unity. Every single member is important to me and as such we go out of our way to make sure that nothing gets in the way of your gaming needs. We like to think that the FC as such molds itself around any particular gaming style. Weather it be , logging in to just craft or progressing through BC.

We constantly try to organize fun events to unite our FC and push the envelope on things we can get away with. Just last night, for fun, we two man'd Wanderer's Palace (paladin - scholar). It was a blast. Here is a small list of some of the things we have going on:

- Five static BC groups.
- FC Fate farming events.
- Ghost custome dungeon races.
- Tankless tome farming.
- Tankless Primal runs.
- 4 healer WP or AK runs.
- Naked primal runs.
- Naked tome farming.
- Lowbie support group ( We show our lowbies some extra love - help them through low level dungeons, etc).
- FC weekly lotto ( The pot this week is close to 1 million gil).
- Season events like our current FC christmas raffle.

- Fun Hide and Seek events for prizes that include gil/raid foods/crafting materials/etc
- Teamspeak Kareoke Night.
- Teamspeak drinking games.
- Music Teamspeak Bot - so you can listen to your favorite music while you play and hang around.
- CTR (Community Titan Runs - we help people on Couerl that are having a hard time killing Titan for free to finish their relic).
- Guildie of the month.
- We have plans to jumping into PVP as soon as it is released.
- We are joining up with Dragon Nite FC to host a game day in Eorzea for the server with over 6 million gil in prizes.
- PACT linkshell for friends of the FC ( its our extended family - you are part of our gaming community without having to commit to joining our FC and as such will be included in most of our activities).

- Strong leadership and open communication between leadership and members. With this method drama in our FC is non existant.
- PACT branches out to other games as well ( Guild wars 2, Minecraft, Battlefield 4 - with Elder scrolls and wildstar joining the roster soon)
- Besides our forums, we also have a Facebook group and Steam group.

Thats just some of the things we have going on. Hello Folks,

I'm Bless Melfear, a Vanilla MMO player with a real hardcore mindset. I'm more the "Raid is a job" kind than the "Poor you, you were unable to dodge that 10 seconds cast and 5 yard radius AoE on you". I've join PACT! at first cause at my age I now have family, job and responsibilities so I needed a FC that was raiding on my available time windows. I was appeal by all the events they claim to do and by the selling pitch of Zander. For the first month me and my brother we carried them to all stuff to gear them to get them relic weapons to make them ready to BC. I was little by little starting to enjoy sharing my time and knowledge with others. During that time I did TS3 karaoke, some special event like tank less AK and so on. With that I realize that I can have much more fun with people than with a last BC boss kill. Still, I was hoping to raid soon and finally the time have come, we were entering BC. I was happy like a kid the Christmas day.

Playing with them I finally come to realize that Hardcore is not only being a total jerk and you must all be good as me, but being able to share with them what makes me good, being a coach, being a model, being a member of the community. I know that I will never do the server-first last boss ever with them, but I also know that I will have fun and enjoy the time it will take to go there. Now when I log off, I'm happy and smiling instead of mad and angry at everyone and myself to fail so much.

If you ask me, I say that PACT! is the better things that have happens to me. Cause with them I'm a better man. I'm still a Hardcore player with all my theorycrafting, class analyzes, food preparation, potion preparation, raid attendance, skill, gear optimization, raid strategies and so on. But know I have an online family to share with and no more rage, just happiness doing so.

I'm now a Hardcore Carebear.
