Healing and Buffing pets

Who does it, how often do you do it and why. When I start a fight I make sure Summoner and Scholar pets get stoneskin at least. Sometime I just do it to make my fellow healers/casters life easier so they don't have to waste time and mana to get another pet out. I just wish there was an easy way to target pets.

as a SCH I usually Stoneskin my pet before fight myself (while the WHM do the rest of the team)
I sometimes put a Succor before starting so gets it too but that's pretty much it
