Have you cleared it? I have a feeling at least a thousand of have beat it now, with FCs at the point where Twintania is being farmed, with almost no difficulty. Admittably, I haven't beat it but i'm getting close and i'm definitely getting the win before the update.

I feel the problem with how the game is designed so that there is no real "difficulty", it's just memorization. Attacks are executed in the same pattern so once you get the first win you have the ability to get second and third wins with less and less difficulty.

So I hope they have content harder than Twintania planned because a lot more people are beating it before 2.1.

it's an example of the dev team completely underestimating the skill level of the players in the game. i'm not sure if you played in 1.0, but there were multiple examples of that there as well. perfect examples were garuda, moogle, and ifrit extreme.

garuda: when he put garuda in game he talked about only very few people would be able to beat it when it came out for a while. it was downed first night it was released and people had it on farm by day 2.

moogle: he went as far as to take predictions on how many weeks it would take to beat moogle because it was just owning his testers. 6 hours after it came out it was beaten which was including 2 hours of maintenance due to server crashes.

ifrit extreme: he talked about how difficult it was going to be and how few people would be able to obtain their first relic before the servers went down. not only were people getting their first relic, but there were ls's that had people with the full set of relic weapons before they went down.

edit: no i haven't cleared it with my current static to answer your question.. we are in turn 5 learning it stage by stage atm, but haven't gotten it to kills yet.

I haven't. My FC beat turn 4 for first time last week. Gear wise we have been very unlucky with coil drops and started doing coil at the beginning of November.

If patch wasn't delayed for a month his estimate wouldn't have been so far off.

Nope. My FC stops at after turn 4 every week, and I seem to be the only one with the determination to do T5. I even join the small amount of PUGs to practice. Maybe one day ill win in a PUG.

I don't see why need get worked up on that statement. It was just a prediction and that kind of thing usually not accurate. Furthermore with do many people trying for many weeks or more, in a game with many hundred thousands people, of course there be more. Also there are many people posting guides, mechanics, videos n more, that itself speed up more teams on it. So chill :p. There is a larger majority haven't clear it n taking the challenge n so on.

My FC got 8 clear T5 2 days back. I'm still struck at T4, with the only 1 win and a Mnk belt due to them taking me along for the ride. (>....>

A long time ago I saw an interview with a WoW dev where fans ask them why are devs always wrong/dumb/stupid with a whole mess of examples of their errors, and the guy basically said well there's only like ten of us versus millions of you, so it's really not that surprising that the million beats the ten almost every time. Unfortunately I think that guy was the only guy who really gets that concept. It's almost comedic each time I see a dev make a prediction about any MMORPG, because the million almost always beats the ten, let alone the one. In fact, the only time I've seen a dev predict correctly about progression is if they predicted ZERO people will beat it, because it's actually very easy for a dev to ensure that is true.

Oh the days of pulling bosses to interesting places in the arena to completely nullify mechanics...

what was the phrase GC used? Oh right.. "Players are incredibly resourceful and never fail to astound us with their ability to conquer content with creative use of game mechanics".

Honestly? Devs underestimate players to absolutely astounding extents in EVERY game. :P
