Issues with UI lag, Market Wards Crashing, Battle Lag are alot of the issues I see brought up in the Forums. As I don't experience alot of these issues since the last couple patches have been performed, it made me think, what is going on in the other worlds.
I play on Rabanastre and aside from the UI lag I get when selling items and swapping items with my Retainer it's pretty fast. (I'm not too sure what the standard UI speed is these days, but it seems about as fast as Offline RPG's I play ** Edited: I wish that RPG UI's were as fast as when they were Cartridge Ports. These HDD and CD loading games just seem so much slower) As for the Market Wards crashing, they went down 2 days ago, but before then I had my Retainers set up for 3 weeks without having to Call them back. Battle Lag is noticeable pretty much all the time. I do play with slightly higher graphical settings than I should be for my computer setup, but there's not much difference when I lower my settings anyways.
How are people experiences in the other Worlds with these issues?
Is the FFXIV experience different between Worlds?

I can tell you honestly, Wutai as more retainer/NPC vendor lag than Mysidia, but that's the only thing I notice is different. Odd thing is, Mysidia has more players than Wutai, so what is causung the less populated server to lag more? Hmmm interesring. I have theories but i'll leave it at that.

I do not receive any lag on Lindblum and I use wi-fi.
The only times I disconnect are due to issues with my own connection at home. -

I can't remember the last time Wutai's markets crashed. I know they have on Mysidia, but since my secondary character homes there, and I only play it once every one or 2 weeks, I can't tell you how often. Most of the time I log on and my retainer is back at it's home, and knowing I had it in a wards, I come to the conclusion that the market crashed. It's happened a couple of times like that anyway.

06-04-2011, 01:50 AMJudge_XeroHow is your UI in Fabul? I like to compare the speed to Offline Games. If it's close to the speed of an offline game then it's pretty good IMO. Being faster is never a bad thing though. The UI for me in Rabanastre is about as fast as Fallout 3 or FF13 in the best spots. Navigating and using the menu is pretty fluid, but when it comes to changing gear and putting stuff in the Bazarr etc then it really slows down. I'm not sure what to compare it to, I'll just say it takes between 1/2 to a 3/4 of a second to change each piece of gear, but I guess that has to include the time to Display the gear on my character. Although, if i was really concerned about time I would make a macro, cause that makes it twice as fast.Quote:
