Subscription Expiring Question

Just wondering, if I let my subscription expire and return in maybe 2-3 months time will everything still be saved? (my character, all gear and inventory and retainers etc and gil!) I do not want to lose all my progress but I will not have time to play at all for at least a month or so..

Also what happens to the stuff currently on the marketboard will that just vanish?

I fully intend to come back in a couple of months just as long as it remembers all my stuff!

Oh and also, is there any sort of time limit on how long it retains your character information without being deleted etc..?

If it's anything like FFXI, if your account is inactive for more than 6 months there are no guarantees they can retrieve it (though usually they could, especially with welcome back campaigns). If you do reactivate, you don't lose anything. Your character will fully be intact.

Not sure about XIV but in XI there were 2 ways to stop account, if you just cancelled the content ID and left the POL account active (cause you only paid for content IDs not the POL ID) you could come back years later and still have your data and just reactivate the content IDs but if you cancelled the actual POL account then it deleted the characters.
