Controller Latency/Spam/I don't know what to call this issue

Hey guys!

So I've been playing FFXIV: ARR for a while now (since Beta 3) and it is an absolutely wonderful game that gets better with every single patch and hotfix that comes out.

Though I have been having a recurring issue where my controller (a wired Xbox 360 controller) will sometimes experience a weird kind of issue that only occurs while playing FFXIV: ARR (I can play other games like Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite, and others without any issues at all).

The issue: When playing as normal, sometimes my controller will be completely unresponsive for a period of, say... 2-3 seconds. This isn't really an issue during Crafting or anything, but it can be absolutely disastrous in Hard Mode Primal fights.

Then sometimes, if I happen to be holding a button down or I happen to press a button at a certain instant, that button will act as if it's being either held down or mashed at an unnaturally rapid speed. This is where my controller issues get particularly chaotic.

I'm just wondering if there is any kind of remedy for this issue on my end and/or if the powers that be are working on a fix for this problem.

I should also add that I get minimal to no lag or latency on my end other than this particular issue.

YES YES a THOUSAND TIMES YES! Every few patches this happens to me my husband and every friend I know who plays with controller. This makes EG for controller users IMPOSSIBLE. Me and my husband have both been forced to stand there not moving for 5 seconds or auto run off the edge at demon wall/titan so many times now. For a controller system that's supposed to be "the best" this problem makes it literally impossible for controller players to get anywhere in certain EG. is bad enough my index fingers totally cramped up from holding L2/R2 all the time I didn't mind 1.0 controller and never EVER had this problem. Please look into this SE!
