Status Ailments
I know this isn't top priority, but after spending months killing dodos, I've noticed the status effects are a little.. (deep breath before next word) lackluster ;)
I'm not only talking about how you can walk even when asleep or stunned, that you don't have animations for these ailments, I'm also talking about how these don't really matter. You can even cure sleep with a simple Cure or Sacrifice.
The thing is, in other FFs, ailments played a good part in battle. You had to be really careful and prepared for them. What do you guys think?
I'd like having some Zzzz popping out when I'm asleep. And more mobs with status ailments, not having dodos with almost all of them.

Dont know about you, but getting paralyzed, petrified, silenced, slowed or having my ability's or weapon skills locked out is a pretty big hindrance and do require a bit of forethought and planing to deal with. And don't even get me started on plasmoids being able to lower your effective class rank.
now I'm with you on a visual indicator on the character of some sort. but i do wonder how big of hit it would be to system performance especial when the engine is having to display it for a full party. In the long run i think the decision to make your status ailments visible via debuff icons next to your name in the party listing was the correct one.

They stated in the last Q&A that the "good" status ailments are being saved for boss fights.
