Regarding one time use passwords

Hi everyone,
Im new to ff14 and mmos in general. I play on the ps3 and go to friends places a lot. Every time I change places when i try to log in it keeps telling me i have to reset my password. Would getting the OTP app prevent this from happening anymore or am i DOOMED to keep resetting my password?

(also sorry if this is in the wrong section my logic was I had a newbie question i should go to the new player forum)

I would always reccomend the OTP, especially since the app is free, and if you like the game and think you plan to play it for a long time with your friends!! I'm honestly not sure if it will prevent resetting your password or not though, it sounds strange, my gf n I go over to each others houses to play and don't have to reset it when we change locations. I have the OTP but she doesn't, but neither one of us have to everytime.

Yes, the app or the physical security token will make it so you don't have to reset your password whenever logging in from a new location.
