Fracture for DRG rotation

First of all, let me apoligize if this thread was already made previously, i merley want to start a discussion about this and seeing as how th Dragoon: A Rotation Reborn thread is so many pages, I thought i may just make a whole new thread. How does fracture factor in to your rotation? is it actually a dps increase or can we cut it out completely. I would like to hear what most people think, both geared and not so geared just to see how well it scales. I'm hoping for fellow Dragoons to have a nice disscusion or debate, lets not have it lead to arguing lol :)

Personally, I don't use it unless CT is going to clip. It just costs too much TP, and in long fights that matters. I may have to use it more if I change my Allagan pants for Wyrm's, depending on how much that 34 skill speed affects my skills (that's the easiest fix to my overdose of accuracy, unless I get really lucky with Coil drops)

I don't think its bad DPS, personally; its got the same DoT potency as Phlembotomize, but less initial damage, which means you're using it for the DoTs if at all. It just costs too much TP for that 100/20 potency.

PArcher pretty much said what I was going to. I don't play DRG, but from what I've seen on the forums, it's a DPS increase, but not worth the TP to use every time it's up. Most recent suggestions I've seen are basically to use it as filler between combos to keep from clipping a buffed CT.

There's a 70+ page thread about Dragoons titled Rotation Reborn. The first stickies have posts talking about this in detail. Read it and come to your own conclusion whether you want to use it or not.

Iam not lvl 50 yet, so I cannot share an opinion based on end game rotations. However, the only time I find its dps truly useful are during longer encounters where I may be forced out of melee range more often.

I agree. I only use it for bosses, i mean places like AK/WP, if i were to do a fracture, mobs probably die before i hit Dis anyway. So fracture is pretty pointless for 100/20.

Pretty much only trash I use fracture on are Dullahans and the Marauder cultists in AK

HT>PH>FR>FT Combo

Generally they are the only two that stay alive long enough to tick almost all the way

Use Fracture to space out a normal DRG rotation. Some rotations don't need spacing. Some do.
