I think melee dps gets Coil the worst of anyone. That's right!

I am sick and tired of doing coil as melee dps. It's the most frustrating thing ever. You know what you ranged dps have to do dodging Titan? You died lots of times to latency and mistakes right? Enter the life of a melee DPS, where we have to do titan level dodging all the freakin' time!

Coil 2? ADS switches tanks and hits melee dps while it's turning to face the other tank because of conal aoe attacks. Is it the melee dps fault? No. Gravity field pops. THERE IS ALMOST NOWHERE SAFE FOR A MELEE DPS TO BE TO SURVIVE GRAVITY FIELD.

When Gravity Field popped I tried to find a safespot, ran to the team, somehow picked up allagan rot and caused a wipe. APPARANTLY I found out if you're melee dps and gravity field pops you have to just say screw this and sit in the tank's corner and just sit there until field goes away and read a book or watch a movie or something. Oh and if he does laser on you while you're in the corner you're screwed. BTW if he pops gravity field while doing the pacman aoe where you have to get behind him you're getting hit and possibly dying no matter what. Good day.

I watch so many videos of melee dps being the first to die in coil so people think the melee dps sucks or something but NO. It is literally that hard for a melee dps in the coil. We die first because we have to do more dodging than anybody else, and we get punished with near instantenous death if the latency does not like us.

Does anybody else feel my pain?

Life of a melee DPS. The struggle is real.

Melee is for the lower classes.

I just stand back and throw spells. :)

Its challenging and I love it. Monk for life!!!

Melee dps is the only dps that's not mind numbly boring and they don't struggle at all long as you know the mechanics of the fight, so it's a win win.

I was only leveling Lancer for blood for blood brah, do you honestly think a level 30 lancer is in the coil? Exercise some common sense and check my character profile brah.

Take the right path in turn 2, that way you won't have to deal with Balast or Gravity Field, just that fire AoE and chain lightning.

You need the bards for silencing, or at the very least 1 bard. If you have a melee and bard, going right is near suicide for your dps.

If you learned the fight better you'd be OK. I main dragoon and do turns 1-4 like water.

My static ran a week w/o me and where stuck on turn 4

Its just the individual player experience.

From farming titan so much I know all his moves ahead of time. for my smn relic that fight was fun as hell.

As far as coil, step it up; have the tank s face ads AWAY from u so u dnt eat that cleave. Its happened to be a lot before, just let the tanks know

You've got to be kidding me. The only thing a melee DPS needs to do is dodge AoE. That's it.

BRD has to silence, pass rot, and dodge attacks (piercing laser, gravity, etc.). It is incredibly ignorant than you think melee jobs are more difficult. Good luck ever playing BRD.
