The price of lavender.
I was levelling up Culinarian i think and I see theres a craft that requires just 4 lavender. So I figure thats easier to PL than the usual 4 items per craft, so I check the market board and find that a stack of lavender goes for 20k! 20k!?? It's a lv 12 reagent that would probably take me 15 minutes to farm. A stack of shards (1000) in comparison usually runs 40k, and takes me 1.25 hours to farm. In conclusion, take yuor price of lavender and shove it! (he says to nobody in particular)
Sidenote: Want to be a millionaire? Sell stacks of lavender on Behemoth for 10k

So instead of creating a thread to cry about it, go farm some quick.

Cooks and botanist make most of their money selling/gathering for other players leveling up culinary. Its a vicious cycle, but when your 50 cul and want to make money make some hq leve items.
-
And this is why I leveled up Botany before starting CUL. I had one retainer full of ingredients, 99 NQ and 30'ish HQ of every one.
-
yeah ive got a 50 BOT too, and im not crying, random player, I thought it was amusing.

You don't spend much time farming those levels, so leveling players move on to new things to gather relatively fast. So of course users who farm things to sell are going to try to make a profit off of it; players leveling classes tend to buy leveling items instead of farming themselves to save time. If you find it's too expensive, just go farm some yourself while watching a show on another monitor; sell any extras you get.

I sell pre combines for cooking all the time for massive profits. Why? No one wants to take the time to make that stuff or they don't want to kill their inventory.
