I need some advice for bard

What are the best skills to get from the other classes?
I have internal release, featherfoot, and second wind.

Also i have a question for other bards, what is the best set up for your bar? Should i go with a mix of darklight and hero?

I was told by a mage the other day im a lousy bard, i want to get better, so any advice is welcome.

Blood for blood from LNC 34 is another great one to get, however we might be losing it come 2.1, as we know they're taking something from us cross class, but we don't know the details of what exactly yet.

Darklight and hero gear is good, however you'll want to research the best order to buy mythology gear in though, as some have a much bigger impact than others. Can't go wrong with the pants as your first purchase though.

Full darklight is good. Some of the ilvl 70 crafted gear can be better than darklight with optimal melds, but it will be expensive. That being said, pretty much ALL ilvl 90 gear is better than ilvl 70.

A huge upgrade is also invigorate (from the Lancer)... if you ever have TP issues an additional 400 TP every few minutes will be a great addition.

As for gear, Start with DL, Myth spending on Bard should be Pants first, then depending on coil drops, possibly gloves next. If you get gloves from T1, you can put off AF Gloves, but they will give you slightly better stats than the Allagan.

Hero's Ring is a good early upgrade as well, since you can only wear one Toxotes. (unless you have money then you could probably meld up some Gryphonskin Rings to your liking)

Just because someone tells you something, doesn't mean it's true. You're looking into advice and researching the job. That alone tells me you have good prospects. Check out FFXIV on Reddit and Bluegartr forums for advice as well and have fun.

I would start by taking off that Sipahi stuff and putting your AF back on, the strength does nothing for you, unless of course that is just your around town gear in which case just disregard :P

I'm a fairly new bard, I took Invigorate, Blood for Blood, Internal Release and Second Wind. Fifth one I'm really not sure, but I took Keen Flurry (+40% Parry rate) for some mild defensive purposes.

Feint from Lancer is also a decent one, instant cast, off global cooldown to increase DPS.

Cross class skills you want are Second Wind, Internal Release (both pre-15 PGL), Mantra (42 PGL), Invigorate (22 LNC) and Blood for Blood (34 LNC).

WP gear for you is Mercenary's, AK gear is Toxotes.

Is there a way to see your party members TP? I've seen a tank being a douche to someone for not knowing when to sing the TP song.
