Giant Bavorois still kills me occasionally!!! >:-(

I'm a healer, and wondering what am I doing wrong that I still get killed by this guy?

I try to stay away from him, when target, I run away from him, and this works about 6/10.

Rest of the time, I am still getting one-shot by his flail!!

What gives? Tank Error? Something else I could do to ensure I never get hit?

Sucks to be doing a sub-15 minute speed run in WP and get killed by this guy!

Not tank error considering when it has you on aggro it can't be taunted off. Just keep running and hope your latency is good enough.

So run, keep running, and never stop till I see the tank has it?

Sometimes, it's not even on me, but notice I was standing too close when it did it's flail :L

That boss, from time to time, aggro other members of the party and the tank can't do anything about it, no one can, and after a short while, the boss will return to the tank if he/she is the one with most hate.

Few things you can do besides keep running, maybe using spring to get away faster, is casting Stoneskin and/or the water spell to push the boss (don't know if that will work but you can try it).

Is there a possibility that myself, the healer, might actually have the most hate at that point?

He's a level 50 Arcanist, not a Conjurer.

Though Maraf is right, throughout the fight the boss will target someone, "Focuses target on--" and a crosshair goes over that player where it then seeks them out and wont stop until it does its flail.
The trick is to just plain keep away. It'll throw a fireball at you, and then shortly after flail. Just keep away the best you can.

Its flail goes off regardless how close it is to the target so if you're not being targeted then go hide in the corner, it usually wont walk there because people circle the room.

After it does its flail the tank should get aggro back right away. But during the time in which it targets someone, it wont ever lose focus so the Tank can't get it back until the end.

If you're getting hit by the tentacle flail, that's not part of his normal move set. He only does that when he focuses on one person. Don't stop running until he goes back to the tank. If you stop when he stops moving you'll probably still be in the area of the flail and get hit.

I've also noticed that latency plays a huge roll here. If you're experiencing high latency, the location you see your character at isn't really where it is. The boss could be right next to you when it looks like you have a good lead on him on your screen. In such a scenario you would be hit by his flail even when you're several yalms away at the time.
