For Hawaii PC players Lag issues.

Time warner cable is the best you can do, I have 100mbps down and 5 up.

I run the game on max settings with 100+ fps, I have a monster rig. 2 gtx 680's sli'd.

For everyone who plays from hawaii, we always have a disadvantage over everyone. This game was the first game I found unbearable to play. The rubberbanding was just getting so annoying, and you would think being in the middle of the pacific ocean there is nothing we can do about it.

Hawaii NEEDS a west coast server to play on, but since SE decided to have their data center in the upper right hand corner of NA furthest from hawaii, we are poop out of luck but dont worry.

Unfortunately if you want to play this game decently you will have to pay extra money on the side for a vpn, I use pingzapper. google it.

Our connection from hawaii gets routed from hawaii > Los Angelas > Dallas > Chicago > Montreal. Yes..... horrible route...

On ping zapper you can use your own server to tunnel through. Choose a chicago server directly and phase out LA and dallas.

I still have a client - server lag issue but i no longer have rubber banding.

hopes this helps the people with the real lag issue pinging NA servers at 180 ms and spiking up in 500's

I live on Kauai and yeah the rubberbanding is horrible. In regards to pingzapper, If I buy 30 days, do i get literally "30 days of pingzapper time", or will it run out in a month regardless of how much i have it 'on'?

like any one moth subscription, its regardless of how much you have it on.... but its 4$ for a month... or buy it for a year for 30$... and you can use a free trial but it limits you to 1 hour of pingzapper time at a time so you would have to restart your game every hour or so

Thanks bud, I signed up for 1 month and also got the 30 days free as well. So far I haven't noticed any lag issues.

TWC throttles me too hell and it makes divebombs a hit or miss to dodge so hopefully this helps.

my fc is a hawaii based build and everyone whose tried it and used a serverdirectly in chiacago has experienced no rubber banding at all :D jsut make sure your tunnel is through chicago

I'm based in the NE of the U.S. and the Chicago server is the best for me as well. I didn't experience any rubber banding or lag at all tonight on Twintania. Highly recommended program.
