Question concerning housing

Will the upcoming housing have private areas for individuals or is it as it appears to be.....a glorified FC Club House?

I read they were implementing having your own room, but I'm not sure if that is with 2.1 or not.

They will add individual room later but I highly doubt they will have it ready for 2.1, I would say maybe 2 to 4 months down the road. They will either let you make sections in your house with some restriction on where you can put them or have pre-made option in some form.

If it's a glorified anything then it's a glorified officer's club as there's no way big guilds of several hundred(my own) will give regular members the rights to do anything with it. Square has said officers will be the only ones who have the rights to move or place anything in the house unless the gm gives rights to others, which again in a guild of 200+ isn't going to happen.

As Square has said though, whatever they decide to do for personal housing(whether it's a house itself or just a room) it will be atleast 6 months from the time 2.1 releases(so 2.3).

No, it will not have private areas. It will have functional uses, please read the information on housing that was posted on the official website for specifics.

I did read it. Which is why I am asking the question. Made no mention of private quarters. The details of that post are matters of discussion for a different thread.

There will not be "private quarters." That's what Inn rooms and future personal housing are for.

A company house is not meant for privacy (other than the privacy of your company as a whole).

When it comes to features in new content, you can be pretty sure if they don't explicitly say "we're adding <blank>,", they aren't adding <blank. unless they later come out and say it.

Even in a large house, imagine having private quarters for all 512 possible members of your company. their private quarters would be the size of a teacup.

From what i've seen of the shots / video they've given us, only the Large houses even have more than 1 room.

i think private quarters for FC member is possible
its just like inn rooms in the adventurers guild, everyone goes through the same door to their quarters
however, of course we want it to be more realistic... everyone into the same door? omg it will look ridiculous but it is applicable

we probably can see it more realistic in large house where they can put more doors and not everyone through the same door
