Market Board Woes and putting up for auction
Another day on the Market Board another item being sold for less than what you can NPC it for.
Seriously do people just like to undercut the item to annoy other people who spend hours farming.
I tend to sell my items at a steady rate and not undercut, but recently i'm over stocked and can't sell due to people drastically undercutting, i mean to the extent of selling items for 1g.
1st if your farming for items to sell, the only person profiting from your super low sales is the guy crafting from them that means your spending hours to sell 10 x 99 items at 1gil a pop someone is snatching them up and making 5k per 3 items for just putting them together.
your only ripping yourself off, for a cheap fast sale.
2nd you can sell at the same price for the item from you home nation where the buyer will not be taxed, so he will favour buying from the nation he is at to avoid the cross nation tax, so if you see somone selling items in gridania you can still put them up in Ul'dah for the same price. I do it myself, check after tax which one is actually cheaper to buy, even though they're different prices.
I just can't understand peoples logic in this, we are all here to make money on the boards, why would you make it so hard for DOL to make gil apart from certain items, if your selling for a Gil NPC it, you might make more.
