What im most excited about in 2.1: DUTY ROULTETTE

I'm sure people don't empathize with this, but out of all the announcements for 2.1, i am definitely most excited about the duty roulette (and the drg buff although 10% sucks IMO)

After grinding WP for about 30 times now, I am extremely excited about this new feature that will allow me to enter a *random* dungeon. Let me list out the perks of this new feature:

- ALL dungeons are beneficial to a level 50 player. no longer do i have to grind ONE dungeon, but instead ALL dungeons have replayability.
- I get to help out lower level players, and still benefit from getting tomes.
- Lower level players will have an easier time finding players in the DF, and the chances of getting experienced players increases. this honestly motivates me to level up my (non existing) alt classes, specially since now the DF will be better for exp than FATEs.
- I can use my level 50 to slowly but surely gather equipment for my alts.

My only problem with the roulette is that there is a bonus that you will get only once a day from using the roulette. i cant complain too much until i see what the actual numbers are without the bonus, but i fear this.

What are your thoughts on this feature? seems to be underrated by the community as a whole. And/or, what are you most excited about of 2.1?

I love this idea though I am a bit sad you have to go in as a solo =/ I commonly at least group with one or 2 others .. I can see not letting a full party go in (sorta.. ok not really cause other mmo's let you random sign up for runs with a full party).

Well guess I can't complain about being bored on my 50 classes and hating the very few lv 50 dungeons anymore..

Makes perfect sense that you can't go in as a group, especially as the system is mainly there to help new players progress through the storyline, maybe after a few more months you'd be able to sign up with a friend. Great idea though, and glad that dungeon exp is getting a boost.

They have said they are working on a Group patch (2-3 player) for Duty Roulette. You won't be able to register for DR with a full 4-man party and get into a low dungeon of course.

And for all those wondering if a Scholar can heal in <30 Dungeons, the answer is yes, although you can probably just summon Eos and let her take care of the Embracing, with an occasional Physick thrown in while you DPS.

i hadnt thought about it, but it makes sense that some players will want to enter the roulette as a group. it doesnt bother me too much since im much of a loner in MMOs, but if there really is a patch coming in the future to allow for groups to go in, then we all win.

the MIP system, those that only apply to the roulette? i remember that they said the MIP system would not be available to people who entered as a group so as to not allow to be taken advantage of.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to this too, thought I was the only one :)

Honestly, this is the thing I'm most looking forward to in 2.1. CT is nice and all, but since rewards will be limited, then might as well use all the Philo tomes you get from the Roulette (I plan on using this often because WP and AK are at the point where it's a chore to do them) to upgrade ALL gear to DL or crafted HQ iLvl 70 gear (I know I plan to make a TON of accessories)

Wait, so you will still get tomes from lower level dungeons?
