I've played this quest like 10 times by now, and I haven't get the item needed to finish the quest.
Is it okay to take this long for the item to "drop"?

Is it okay to take this long for the item to "drop"?
You have to get a gold star rating to get the drop, and it's guaranteed to drop if you get gold.
As a PLD all you need to do is spam flash, should be simple.
3rd one? the dreadnought if i recall...
i consistently got gold if i shield lobbed and flashed the boss in/out of party.
Actually you only need Silver for the drop, which I can confirm as I was FATE grinding there during the week-end, sometimes at odd hours, and got tons of drops.
