In-depth Materia System
Materia dropped randomly from END GAME DUNGEON bosses.
Materia like that of FF7
Double Hit Materia - procs double hit at a rate of 3% (Adjust as necessary).
Absorb HP/TP/MP - procs similarly.
Double Cast Materia - procs spell to be casted twice.
Gil Finder Materia - 5% increase to all gil received.
I can continue with every single materia ever created in FF7.
This is a great idea to make the materia system more fun and would make the game that much more awesome.
Also I noticed these suggestions have been taken quite the attention from SE, you're using the community base as free consulting to bring in revenues! So for using my idea how about a payment to me? :)

FFXIV's materia system hasn't been designed like the FFVII system though - it's specifically a way to eliminate old gear from the game without selling it (hence the spiritbonding process to make it), as well as (at least the idea is) to allow players to customize their equipment with new stats - it was never meant to be a FFVII style system where you could find materia anywhere and equip and remove it from gear at will.
Sadly your ideas are really just too overpowered and would easily abused by players, hence why SE went this path.
Also there is no PM system on this forum, so 'PMing you for feedback' isn't an option. ;)
