Lv.41~44 quests?
I'm getting an alt that I've neglected quite a while up to 45 for the Lightning set.
On this alt I complete every single level appropriate quest and do every dungeon only once for the first timer bonus.
I'm now level 41, locked out of the main quest that requires 42, can see no side quests appropriate to my level. Location is Aleport. It seems like the quests dry up as I hit level 41. Done everything I can in CCH, too.
Anyone have an idea what I've missed? Or the general whereabouts of the quest hub for level 41-44?
PS: On my main I did only the Main Quests and leveled almost entirely on dungeon experience. orz

Mor Dhona, I think was the place for those levels of quests, but I'm not sure.

It sounds like you're in the Garuda part. I'm guessing you're in Eastern Thanalan. There are a couple side quests there at 41, aside from a lot of story quests. If you've done all those, then I would look to your Hunting Log or map exploration. You can get a nice exp chunk just uncovering entire maps. You can look at your exploration achievements and see what you're missing. That should be enough to get you a level.
Worst case, you might have to head to Coerthas and burn a handful of FATEs.

Yep Garuda part. I probably missed some of those East Thanalan quests then. I have a bunch of level 17~18 quests there that I ignored because my level was already 20 by the time I finished Sastasha. The level 41 quests must be mixed with the same quest givers.
Thanks for the info!

Just got another character up to the Garuda part and this time I made sure I didn't miss any quests. Everything was done.
My progression was to do every dungeon once at-level so I get the most experience out of it, fully rested the whole time. I was still ahead by Brayflox, but after that, I had to grind FATEs at 40, at 41, at 42, and at 43. Currently Lv.43 EXP 128228/373700. All quests along the main quest progression have been exhausted. Hunting log up to level 45. I'm locked out of the Garuda quest (Lv.44).
Nothing to do except grind Stone Vigil (Lv.41) or leves (Lv.40+) or FATEs.
I remember on my main also, I grinded Stone Vigil so much that I left it hanging at level 43 for a day or two. It seems there simply aren't enough main+side quests between level 40 and 45. :(

Why wouldn't you want to grind Stone Vigil? It drops some nice items and experience even for a level 43. At 44, you can do Darkhold till 47. I guess it's just too much to do a dungeon more than once. I don't think I've had problem with leveling till about 48 on my first class to 50.

Because I did it as an experiment to see if it's possible to do each dungeon only once, with little to no FATE grinding. My main leveled up purely through main quest and grinding dungeons---which should be apparent if you have read the last paragraph of my post. :3

Oh I didn't know you were experimenting. Anyways, I think SE made the dungeons so they should be run more than once. Otherwise, what would be the point of putting gears in there that are better than NPC gears at-level. They tune it so you'll have to run it a couple times. You probably missed out on several lower level dungeons repetitive EXP as you only did it once while it should be done multiple times for a new player to learn the role and the mechanics.

SE did say it was possible to level off nothing but quests. Have you done the optional dungeons as well?

I did all quests and did have a few point post-L40 where I needed to run fates/dungeons to supplement xp. I hope that S/E will be adding a lot of alternate content paths with quests as the patches continue so that leveling second jobs can avoid much grinding (fate grinding results in L50 paladins that don't know what flash does and L50 whms that refuse to cast stoneskin on the tank "because he wastes it so quickly").
