should i quit the game if...

... im stuck on Howling Eye and Aurum Vale for a month now ?

i got to a point where im not sure if this is the right game for me , up until those above dutys i had lots of fun and was enjoying the game . but i cant beat them which makes me unable to proceed in story and grand company questlines

im currently levelling other jobs but soon im at the point with each job where i have to beat them to proceed

i dont wanna quit as i got like 4 months of sub but its getting very frustrating to advance , i imagine the next dungeons will be even harder.

Did you have problems beatin them too , or is it just me that sucks too much ?

What's giving you trouble in these 2 instances?

Aurum Vale is stupid hard for what it is, and Garuda is fairly difficult.

I would suggest that you look for a free company to give you advice and to help you through some challenging spots. This game is fairly difficult for a casual player overall, so no need to feel bad - just get in tune with the social aspect of the game, and you will find the mechanical aspects because no big deal!

in AV surviving and beating the (last) boss pretty much , same for Howling except its the only boss

Find a FC that has players who can help. Final boss in Arum vail is a joke with players who understand the fight.. Fight boss eat mushroom @ 3 stacks aoe adds when he spawns them. Eat mushroom if you get breathed on. and repeat.

Garuda is an interesting fight . Most the time its on the healers and tanks to keep everyone going. tanks gotta learn the right places to move the boss and pick up adds. Healers need to watch there aggro while keeping everyone alive. Only thing that will help you is to not join DF and get a FC.

Well I'll tell you right now that AV can be pure hell with a PUG, but you already know this, don't worry, it just is.

Best thing to do would be to do what Ehayte suggested, get some good company to help you out, I know I personally don't want to DF Aurum Vale ever again.
Garuda is also a pretty tough storyline fight, again, get some good people by your side, learn the fight and you'll be golden.

A fc and friends to help/help you is a big part of this game. It took me by surprise when from 1.0, 2.0 has a strong emphasis on execution and player skill. Concentrate on playing your favorite job as best as you can, if end game combat content is your goal. Look up guides to show you move rotations that maximize your potential. If you are a good player, and gear yourself progressively, it is very easy to start to clear content with other good players who will want to play with you again for said reasons. All that said, Garuda is kinda the wall where it becomes much better to have a competent group of people and where Duty finder just doesn't cut it anymore. Stick in there and enjoy the game, sounds like your doing it right.

Ever heard of an FC? Maybe join one and ask for help? You're gonna need it once you begin your relic quest and get to Titan HM. The problem is obviously because you don't know how and where to get help. If you don't want to join an FC, then go shout in Revenant's Toll or somewhere there's a lot of people and hopefully someone will answer your call. Repeating DF after failing again and again is not a way to solve your problem. Have you watched youtube for tips on the fight? Have u explained to the aoe dps what to do at AV's boss? You'll be surprised how easy that boss is once the AOE dps (bard/blm/whm) know what to do during adds.

Try to get one BLM to go with you, makes the last boss much easier. I'd run it with you if we had the option :(
