Stop timer in dungeon's if player leaves

Tried 3 times today to try and do a lvl 35 dungeon run. Having waited for over 45 mins each time as DPS (yes I know the queue time is longer as dps ) I have the nice experience of the tank bailing 2 times even before the first boss and the other time after dying 8 times on the first boss..the whole group split in Temple of Qarn

So I wasted 135 mins queuing,the players who were left agreed to wait for 20 mins to see if a tank would join and still have time to complete the dungeon..well no tank showed so we split and re-queued this happened twice so that is another 20 mins after that I just gave up for the night.

The other players and myself were willing to wait as long as it took with in reason for a tank but due to the timer restriction this made it impossible to clear the whole dungeon in time.

So I am asking that the timer stops if there are more than 2 players inside it and who are using DF to replace the roles missing.

I guess it was just one of those day if it could go wrong it did but boy was I P*ssed of after the 3rd time.

but you can still make progress without them.

none of us were able to tank,I tried as I was on my summoner but carbuncle couldn't be kept alive as some of the mobs came in grps of 4-5,we had no sleeper so no we couldn't progress,if we had a BLM/WHM as they both can sleep mobs,then yes it may of been doable up to the first boss,but then we still be sitting and waiting for a tank...

first group was summoner (me),Lancer,WHM,Tank whole group split due to many deaths and qqing at first boss
Second group Summoner x2 ,Scholar,Tank ...tank left shortly followed by other summoner we didn't even get started
Third group Summoner (me),Scholar,Bard,Tank ... Tank left at the start while other 2 players were in cut scene

They didn't Disconnect as this leaves the member still in the group for a short period of time (about 5 mins) both times they just up and left group

your are doing it wrong , you should be FATE grinding and story quests , dungeons are just a sideshow that don't mean much unless you are farming tomes .

Really ?? maybe you should tell SE that then...and that's why they are adding more options into dungeons and increasing the XP gain ...:rolleyes: the brainless lemming style zerg fate farming may be for you that's fine but please don't tell other players they are doing it wrong when clearly you don't know their play style.Some of us prefer to explore the whole game not just a part incase you didn't know.

Also there are GC updates that are needed in that dungeon ....

I always try to help people do dungeons as a healer or tank (join party in progress) but every time i get there, its just 1 other person, and even if the dungeon timer is full, i can wait the whole timer, and no healer/tank (which ever im not) will show up.

It's just a waste of time, for those that had to wait a long time to enter a dungeon, to only enter with 1-2 people inside.
You just go back to your queue, but now at the back of the line.

So I agree the timer does need to stop for 4 man dungeons (not for 8 man dungeons, since u get 2 tanks and 2 healers. Unless the group drops to 3 people or something)

i have been having fun joining already in progress Quarns on my WAR. (What, I like to use my Titan Ax) Seems lots of upcomming tanks have no intestinal fortitude.
