Buffs from Gathering

Could a trait be added to mining, botany, fishing that grants a buff useful to the different roles? I know another mmo does this as well, but I think it is something players would enjoy and gives us yet another reason to pursue the gathering professions. I don't believe this could be exploited by RMT either but someone may have another reason why it would.

Such as...
Mining +5 def for tanks
Botany +5 healing for healers (or +5 MD for mages)
Fishing +5 critical hit for dps

Quick Edit: The DOL jobs make up part of who your character is as well, so it would be cool to see some traits or aspects of those professions mixed with your DoW/DoM job.
