River of Blood proc question. Can I remove Venomous Bite from my hot bar?
What I do to maximize RoB proc:
Straight Shot up, Internal Release if available, Windbite/Venomous Bite on the mob.
Assumption:
I have both WB & VB up, more chance of critting. Even if WB does not crit, VB might and I could have RoB proc.
How FFXIV treats DoTs:
- All DoTs tick on a predetermined interval
- All DoTs damages are combined into single tick
This means I see 1 tick every 3 sec showing combined dmg of all DoTs.
What is the logic to determine "Critical" DoT?
2 logics I can think of:
Logic 1)
Crit is caclulated per DoT applied. If multiple DoTs are applied, each has chance to crit, thus increasing overall crit chance.
Logic 2)
Crit is calculated per tick. Regardless of how many DoTs are applied, crit/normal is based on the tick itself and not per DoT. This means applying VB after WB adds no value for crit chance.
