How long for an SE FF14 ARR official guide?

No, i'm not talking about this guide

but a real in-depth guide. (no wonder that guide is called "starting", as much i admit, it's an amazing detailed guide).

A guide with tiny details, dungeon mechanics, in-depths and strategies for for every dungeon and Coil (Turn 1 to 5)

Turn 5 has been beaten already, over and over. Why read some "unofficial guides" wrote by someone, or a youtube video, when SE can provide us (now we exhausted the content and 2.1 is incoming) a real Advanced Guide?

The starting guide is very well made, and a nice pearl to collect. Now we miss the advanced one :) (and the english version hehe :D )

It's meant to be collected, and also a very useful resource for newcomers. (some loves to forget about them, don't we? :rolleyes: )

The problem with in-depth, detailed guides for MMOs is that they're outdated almost as soon as they're completed. Which is why community-driven efforts are the accepted norm: the community can react and change faster than a gigantic company where everything has to be run through legal, translation, marketing, etc. departments before it can be released. SE isn't going to want to commit all those resources to constantly updating detailed guides every time there's a patch that invalidates the information in the original.

LOL you shouldn't need a guide for this game, every mechanic is very clearly laid out for you.

Well, every major mmo had an official dungeon guide, sold on stores/ online stores .
Obiouvsly the guide may provide general explanation with some in-deths of the battle mechanics of every dungeon
( for example: The boss will attack you alone at beginning, at 75% 3 skeletons will pop 1 from left side, 2 from right side).

Something a guide can cover and be considered a vaild handy source.
A patch would not destroy the entire core of a dungeon battle. Lucky our game is very well designed. Bug may be fixed, but not a complete redisign of a dungeon, it would be a fail as mmo :)

Also it's a pearl to collect, like the CE boxed version :)
Look at the video and tell me if you don't want one, english version :) (expecially someone planning to buy the game and begin today :) )

MMO are fluid and as such guide don't work. People know this. So use the internet.

Final Fantasy XI never got an SE released official guide in what, 11 years? There were a couple third party ones, but they were outdated almost as soon as they were released, and bradygames never bothered updating them with further edditions. So, My guess would be that SE is going to follow the same route with XIV and not release anything official. Wiki is your friend.
