Titan HM Item Level Check Please Yoshi..!!

Seriously though, way to many players in AF gear and i-lvl 45/below gear que for this in hopes to be carried. (they are proving to be way to heavy to often) If you put an in-game item level check in order to que, there will be more victorious DF ques for Titan HM.....

A DPS with a Grand Company weapon who understands how to DPS is more valuable than a +1 relic holder DPS who doesn't. Titan HM CF is always going to be a mix of people with various item levels and various experience levels, and this is a GOOD thing. Good, experienced, players are supposed to balance out the bad. Try to be more helpful...If someone doesn't have 3.5k hp, note to them that the fight will be easier for them if they do, since it will allow them to take a plume or bomb without dying. If you see some people are doing 60 dps against the heart, politely suggest ways they may modify their rotation. It's helpful for a lot of new players also if you have a macro to alert them to plumes like 5 seconds before they start.

Clearly, HM Titan is more of a difficult fight than the other two primals which would suggest better gear & more experience in game/dungeons overall to complete it. As it sits, any lvl 50 can que for it. It would be better experience for an un-experienced player to build their gear through other dungeon experience's, work to meet a required itemlvl check. By the time they reach a certain Item level to que for HM Titan, chances are they'll be better players over-all & not get flamed on as much in game. Just saying

If you aren't geared up enough for Titan, quite frankly you are just wasting everyone's time. Helping new players learn the fight and defeat it is fine and all but in most cases you really need people to be able to carry their own weight or else you are just going to be bashing your head against a wall as you can't clear the heart or people just can't survive unavoidable damage. Getting a mix of AK and Darklight gear is as casual-friendly as can be so there is really no excuse to take them time to get geared up. You aren't going to be doing stuff that requires Relics with anything less than Darklight, anyway.

Thankfully, OP, iLevel requirements are going to be added next patch. I think iL60+ requirement is more than reasonable.

the problem with this is with the way your character's ilvl is calculated: it is based EXCLUSIVELY on your weapon. You could have Garuda's weapon and sub-lvl 50gear and it would say you are ilvl 70(or whatever Garuda weapon is). Before implementing ilvl checks, they need to fix how ilvl is calculated (i.e. include all the gear)

They already said it would likely be average item level. I could see it working with an average but with accessories carrying less weight than the other slots, as some stuff like Rings would be problematic as you can't have two unique ones.

I've been in several Titan HMs where someone starts flaming the others(either over skill or item level)...check the 'ole damage meter and who is it who is coming up short? L'gasp! Always the person pointing fingers at the others(and always in full DL with Garuda wep!). This isn't too surprising...these are the people who thought it more important to grind for 4000 philosophy tomes than to actually practice Titan(The very thesis of this post precludes these people setting foot in Titan until they have that i70 item level.) That I have completed Titan dozens of times, mostly CF, I realize is irrelevant to all of you, as what I have to say doesn't fit your stubbornly clung-to narrative. I could say that I've solo-healed with 6 i90/i70 DPS and a Warrior, and that we STILL struggled with the heart for some bizarre reason(Sadly, I wasn't acquainted with parsers back then). More recently, I'll go in with mates in AF armor and GC weps with me as the only one with any i90 at all and we clear it without issue. Y'all better hope they do your item level idea instead of adding an in game damage meter that will show to the people you're flaming how awfully you know your characters. Until then, do try to be nice and patient to people.

P.S.: I prefer doing Titan HM instead of WP or AK or whatever to get myth tomes. I love the challenge and I love helping people instead of telling them to help themselves(oh my god, I think I'm a COMMUNIST!) Even on the weekend during what should be the most active times, the wait time is 15 minutes. Praytell, what do you think your little item level scheme is going to do to Titan HM wait times? Oh oh! I know...because this is what happens whenever someone has a narrative jammed into their brain. Everyone will love the item level restrictions so much that they will do Titan HM nonstop. Yeah yeah...that's the ticket...(okay okay, I know they're introducing Titan Extreme, and the rewards for that will probably be good enough that it won't be long wait, but still...).

My apologies if I seem a bit miffed...I just find MMO player logic(wait 20 minutes building a good 15 minute WP party. Run it twice! Yay!) a bit maddening at times. I read threads like this and have that thought "this is why we can't have nice things" echoing in my mind.

When a full relic team can fail heart do you really think gear check in Titan HM will helps?
I DF Titan daily, either solo or with my friends and we have seen geared players dying left and right and not so geared players surviving till the end and clear smoothly.
Geared helps when you make mistakes or healer not able to top up your HP in time but it will not help if the players simply is not skilled yet.
So no, item level check does not mean more victorious DF Titan HM, players improving themselves will.

i dont agree with OP at all on this, it may "help" make DF wins more likely, but i highly doubt its gonna increase it that much.....too many people fail at dodging, and some people just dont know how to play their jobs. i (unfortunately) personally know a mnk with garuda claws, and full DL, never once parsed above 90 on titan up to phase 5, and he was always dead by phase 5, at least once. titan needs a skill check and a reaction check, since thats basically what you need to survive

ps. first time i did titan on my mnk, GC weapon with mostly AK gear, some level 48ish accessories, and 2 DL pieces (body and legs) with 137 dps, only outparsed by the drg with a relic and full DL in the group, with a 164

Ok, this makes a little since, but i have been in Titan runs where the main reason have wiped wasn't because people were under geared it (and yes, I have had my share of wipes in titan) because of .3 Second Positional Update. I am fixing this on my end cause my system cant handle endgame.

That being said, putting a iLevel requirement on a duty seems redundant until that is fixed. Also if they do that, why not put an ilevel cap on CM or Prae, where geared out 50s go and berate fresh 50s for not knowing the fights, watching the cutscenes, or basically enjoying the fact that their hard work since level one is finally paying off?
