30 min inactive forces you log out? no problem

just go in craft mode and go afk.. seems u wont get booted.

Funny enough, this is how some people were session jacked with the market board as well.

because hitting the X button twice is so much work I guess.

I fell asleep this morning logged into gridania, no windows open, not crafting, nothing. But my character was /sitting, I was still logged in when I woke up about 6 hours later.

Or just log back in.

Yep... just like it's been since the day they put the AFK timer in place.

If it was worth any effort at all, I might try it. But I can always log back on right away. *shrugs*

I always assumed that, because congestion is obviously not as bad as it was during launch, they'd just remove this feature and let people stay logged in forever like before.

Wanna take a guess at one of the main reasons congestion isn't as bad as it was? Hint: It may or may not have something to do with auto logout*

*yes I'm aware some people work around it. No, that doesn't mean that everyone is doing it and that the feature is useless.

They implemented this at request of the community due to log in issues when people went afk for hours and others could not log in. However the 30min inactive kick is only implemented when realm pop is high. So in-general going afk during off peak times to use bathroom, make food, or in general get a breather will not get you kicked.
