Update required, but game will not update

I am trying to login and can login on the launcher, but when the game pulls up I get error code 1012 and it states that an update is required, to press ok to relaunch the game. So I press OK, the game shuts itself down and does nothing. I open the launcher back up, same thing: I can login, but then the game tells me it needs an update when I get to the starting splash screen and won't let me continue. Is there a way to manually force an update? I have tried everything to let it through my firewall including disabling it long enough for the game to try and connect but it still does nothing and yet it still tells me I need to update. Help please?
