Environment interaction

Dear tanks (and to some extent, healers)
Please let the environment interaction (the trivial things) like picking up key item, opening door or treasure chest etc etc to us, lowly DD.
Just focus on your job like gaining hate from the enemy or sort, so that us lowly DD wont have to use additional measure to save our ass when we over hate you

Dear DPS (but mostly just this Rina Inverse guy above me...),

Please pay specific attention to the little bars and numbers in the party window. If you're #2 and have a nearly full bar you're doing a great job. If you're the big A, however, you've chosen to be that A and some tanks might just let you reap the rewards of your actions.

Someone who thinks your coming here to complain about a WP run is kinda silly...

I can't think of any situation where interacting with an object would interfere with tanking, if your tank is stopping what they're doing mid-combat to pick stuff up... then that's just a bad tank.

But you are also guilty. You should be watching your threat.

@Sephirah, but I do. I always give tank to build up hate, but sometime a single Fire II will ruin it

Watching your threat, does not mean "don't do anything for 4 seconds and then unload" you should CONSTANTLY be watching, you should be aware of how much a single ability is going to make that bar tick up. If you're being a good DPS and watching it, you will NOT use that Fire II when you're close to pulling.

Yea I know, constant vigilance and all.
but it all start with the initial build up.
If the tank can't build the hate in the most optimal time (note that I say optimal, not fastest), the fight will prolong, patrolling mob will show up, etc etc
The initial build up important, especially when doing dungeon with invulnerable, patrolling mob (yes, like Stalker in WP), in the most optimal way (note again that I say optimal, not fastest)

On a similar note -

Dear DPS:

Please grab objects or click on interact-able objects. Don't just run past thinking the other DPS will do it, because it leads to either nobody doing it, or making your healer run to do it instead of doing their job - healing.

@Rina Inverse: Though I understand your frustration in my experience most PUG/DF DDs don't interact with the environment often times leaving the Tank or the Healer to do it. I never stop to interact with the environment while fighting, but too often will I have to run back to grab item X or interact with object Y because the DD expects someone else to do it. As such when I use DF I just assume nobody else is going to do it so I do it instead. In short unless you're from my server, FC, or LS I don't trust you to do your job the same way you don't trust me to do mine. (not saying that you don't trust people, just saying in general) ^_^
